Lisa D's Policies & Expectations

1. Appointment Scheduling & Cancellations
• All appointments must be booked online through Lisa D Hair & Essentials.
• A non-refundable booking fee is required and goes toward your total.
• Please arrive on time. A 15-minute grace period is offered; after that, your appointment may be cancelled or shortened and the booking fee forfeited.
• A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule. Changes within 24 hours may incur a fee up to 50 percent of the service total.
• Same-day cancellations and no-shows may be charged up to 100 percent and may result in being blocked from future bookings.

 

2. Payments & Pricing
• Services are paid in full at the time of service.
• Prices may vary based on length, density, new growth and complexity.
• Accepted payment methods: Zelle, Cash App, card, and cash. No checks.
• All services and products are final sale. If there is a concern, contact Lisa D Hair within 48 hours for possible adjustments.

 

3. House Calls & Travel
• House calls are offered on select days within approved Inland Empire areas.
• Travel fees apply and are based on distance; fees will be discussed before confirmation.
• Clients must provide the exact address, a clear location photo and valid photo ID for approval.
• The service area must be clean, smoke-free and well-lit. Unsafe or unsanitary conditions may end the appointment with all fees forfeited.

 

4. Hair Preparation, Health & Safety
• Arrive with clean, detangled, product-free hair unless your service includes a wash. Extra detangling or cleansing will incur added fees.
• Inform the stylist of allergies, scalp issues or sensitivities before service.
• Open sores, active infections or lice will result in cancellation, and fees may apply.
• Children are not serviced. Extra guests are discouraged to maintain a calm environment.

 

5. Products & Aftercare
• Products are chosen for healthy locs and protective styles; not every product is suitable for every head of hair.
• Aftercare instructions are provided; maintaining results is the client’s responsibility.
• Lisa D Hair & Essentials is not responsible for issues caused by conflicting at-home products or methods.

 

6. Client Conduct & Expectations
• Respect is required at all times. Aggressive behavior, harassment or discriminatory language—including racial slurs, hate speech or derogatory comments—will result in immediate termination of service and permanent booking restrictions.
• The stylist reserves the right to decline service to protect safety and well-being.

 

7. Limitation of Liability
• Tenderness or temporary discomfort may occur with hair or scalp services.
• Lisa D Hair & Essentials is not liable for injuries, reactions or losses related to services or products, except where prohibited by California law.
• Clients agree to hold harmless Lisa D Hair & Essentials and its stylist from claims arising from their visit.

 

8. Governing Law & Agreement
• Policies are governed by California law.
• By booking, submitting a booking fee and receiving services, you confirm you have read and agree to all policies.
